Fashionable Inc. needed greater visibility into their warehouse operations so performance and productivity could be easily determined by anyone working in the warehouse.

To achieve this objective Fashionable engaged our services to create and develop a Warehouse Performance Dashboard (WPD) to display various performance metrics which would automatically update every few minutes so warehouse staff could look at the WPD and know the status of order processing, picking, packing, and shipments for the day.

Fashionable installed 2 big screen LED monitors at strategic locations within the warehouse so the WPD could be easily seen by all warehouse staff.  The WPD was especially beneficial for managers at all levels to gauge the daily performance of warehouse operations by providing a big picture overview of their daily activities.

The WPD provides department managers in particular greater visibility into their responsibility of overall warehouse operations.  So much so that various departments openly compete with one another to see who can finish first.

The WPD has transformed their warehouse operations from a personality to a process-oriented operation.  Each member of warehouse staff can look at the WPD and know exactly where they stand in the process.  They are now empowered to take matters into their own hands to get the job done.

Project Particulars:

The WPD looks easy to read and straight forward in its design and presentation which was the intent all along, so we succeeded in that regard.  The layout had to be designed in such a way that it would be easy to see what has already been done for the day and what was still left to do.
