Renaming your database

Before renaming your AmznSC.mdb database, be sure to close Communique for Amazon, Amazon MWS integrator, and any other programs using the database. Windows will not allow you to rename the file while in use.

Follow these steps;

Go to windows explorer and navigate to the Communique for Amazon installation directory. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\Communique ASC.
Locate the file AmznSC.mdb and select it.

Click the right mouse button and select “Rename” from the popup menu.

Windows will highlight the file and allow you to rename it whatever you want. Do not change the file extension since this may render the file useless until it’s changed back.

Start Communique for Amazon. Since the database has been renamed, Communique should be mostly grayed out with no data displayed in the dashboards. This is an indication it is not connected to a database.

Go to the File -> Database Options -> Select Database menu option and select it.

Navigate to the renamed database and select it.

Communique for Amazon should connect to the renamed database and enable features and display data in the dashboards.
